The sidle track was cut by DOC 2 or 3 years ago, bit of regrowth buts its ok to travel.
Takes about 3 hours from cow creek, quicker coming down from arête forks
Its doable, from kiriwhakapapa roadend in a day ok, with packs
The river travel varies, not good unless very low, and still no quicker than the track usually
Arête forks has been restored to original NZFS design with Open Fire

The track from cow creek to Table ridge is marked and cut by DOC to the bushline
The route down to arête forks from table top never happened, but it is marked still, with permolat, and can be followed ok
There is an old tracks that can be followed, on to Waingawa on the Bannister crossing route
And the track onto the bushline of waiohine pinnacles is well cut by doc
